Background
Information
I
am a
32-year-old Network and Application Engineer,
currently working in Angel Islington. On a day-today basis, I
support both Internal and external clients with issues ranging from
configuring/troubleshooting router issues to front-end developing of
our software. I hope to progress and become a fully qualified CISCO and
Linux engineer.
My
involvement with network and application support began in 1997 when
I became frustrated with with my carrer as a Pension's Office
and took it on myself to fiddle with the network settings on the proxy
server - not a wise move when you haven't a clue what you are doing. I
was invited to leave the company, but the director at the
time suggested that I take a carreer up in computing. Armed with my
Macintosh Performa 750 I decided to learn about networking, because the
industry was (and still is) orientated around MICRO$OFT, I was forced to learn
the Windows platform. Throughout the next three years this
developed into a fascination with both network and software development.
